For years, an August night in Redmond meant driving between things. A concert at Marymoor. A festival at Downtown Park. Dinner at Redmond Town Center. The Saturday Market out on Willows Road. Four stops, four parking lots, one long evening, and a lot of shuffling between them.
The 2026 calendar quietly rearranged that. The concert nights are still at Marymoor and the market is still where it has always been, but the middle of the city finally reads like one walkable block, and the Sound Transit 2 Line changed how you arrive. If you already live here, this is the first August where a Wednesday movie, a Saturday morning, and a concert-night sandwich stop can share a single loop.
The Marymoor Week That Sets the Calendar
Marymoor Park sits at 6046 West Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE in Redmond, and the August lineup at Marymoor Live is dense enough that the rest of the week bends around it. Five nights in particular are worth marking:

Two logistics notes worth internalizing before your first show of the month. Doors open one and a half hours prior to show time, and Will Call is at the main box office at the entrance. Marymoor has a local noise curfew of 10 p.m., which is why headline sets sometimes wrap a beat earlier than a downtown venue would. Plan dinner before, not after.
Wednesdays on the Grass, Through August 26
If a concert isn't on your ticket list, the Wednesday alternative is the KeyBank Movies at Marymoor series, in its 22nd season of outdoor films, entertainment, and food trucks. The August run finishes the season:

The practical takeaway: a Marymoor Wednesday is the cheapest evening in Redmond that still feels like an event. Two adults and two elementary-age kids can post up on a blanket for the price of a single premium concert seat, and the dogs are welcome to come along.
The Saturday You Already Know
The Redmond Saturday Market has been operating since 1976, which makes it, by its own claim, the Eastside's oldest farmers market. What matters this August is the rhythm, not the novelty. Saturdays run 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM through October 25, at 9900 Willows Rd NE, and the market accepts SNAP/EBT, WIC/FMNP, and Market Match alongside cards and cash.
Customers can visit 80 to 85 vendors every Saturday during the season, live music runs twice a month, and Master Gardeners are on hand every Saturday to answer plant questions. Two vendors get named more than any others by regulars. Samish Bay Cheese draws the yogurt-and-cheese crowd early, and the Mediterranean lunch stall pulls the 11:30 line. If you want the sunflower stand or a specific mushroom vendor, plan on being through the gates by 9:30. Popular items and vendors can sell out quickly, especially for sought-after produce or specialty foods, so arriving earlier in the morning ensures you get the freshest picks.
One geography note that changes the math on a Saturday morning: the market is not downtown. It's on Willows Road, and it has always required its own trip. Which brings us to the part of Redmond that actually shifted this year.
What Changed on Cleveland Street
The stretch of Cleveland Street between Redmond Town Center and the Eastline apartments has been under retail buildout for years. It's now a coherent food block, close enough to the Great Lawn and the Municipal Campus that a concert or movie doesn't require getting back in the car for dinner.
The most visible arrival is the California-based sandwich restaurant Mendocino Farms, which brought its fifth Seattle-area location to the Eastline apartments at 16502 Cleveland Street in Redmond, opening in July. It marks their fourth Pacific Northwest expansion, and the menu leans on signature sandwiches like the "not so fried" chicken, Peruvian steak, and the prosciutto and chicken.
At Redmond Town Center itself, the dumpling situation deepened. Supreme Dumplings opened an outpost in Redmond Town Center this spring, sharing a space and operations with the second local location of ComeBuyTea; the company's ramen brand, Kizuki, is already in the shopping center. If you have not been in since spring, that corner of the property now runs xiao long bao, ramen, and boba out of adjacent doors.
The next tenant on deck is the one worth watching. Moving into the shopping center later this year, per Puget Sound Business Journal reporting, is a Te-Hand Roll Bar scheduled for August or September, from the owners of Bellevue's Kuro Sushi. If the timing holds, Redmond gets a hand roll counter from a well-known Bellevue operator inside the same window as the last three concerts of the summer.
The 2 Line Changes the Loop
The other structural change of the summer is quieter, but it rewrites the arithmetic of a night at Marymoor. The Sound Transit 2 Line from South Bellevue can now take you to the new Marymoor Village Station, and King County Parks has opened two new trails that connect the station to Marymoor Park, the East Lake Sammamish Trail, and Eastrail.
For a resident, that means an August evening no longer requires a car for either end of the trip. Walk or bike from downtown Redmond to a Wednesday movie, or take the 2 Line home from a concert without waiting out the parking lot. It also means the Cleveland Street corridor is functionally a pre-show block for Marymoor for the first time, not a separate errand.
Stacking One Night
Here is what the geometry now allows, and what it did not last summer:
- 5:30 p.m. Walk Cleveland Street from Redmond Town Center to Eastline. Pick sandwiches, dumplings, or ramen depending on the appetite in the group.
- 6:30 p.m. Cross into Marymoor for a concert, or set up a blanket on the Great Lawn for a Wednesday movie.
- 10:00 p.m. Curfew hits, the crowd exits, and downtown Redmond is a fifteen-minute walk or a two-minute ride on the 2 Line rather than a lot-crawl on West Lake Sammamish Parkway.
The Saturday version is different but equally consolidated. Willows Road for the market at 9, back to the Cleveland Street corridor for a late lunch, home before the afternoon heat sets in. If Aug 22 is on your list, that lunch turns into an early dinner and a walk to Alison Krauss.
The Rhythm, Written Down
The single change worth understanding about August 2026 in Redmond is that the city's summer programming and its dinner options now sit inside a walkable loop for the first time. Marymoor still anchors the calendar, the Saturday Market still holds down Willows Road, and Downtown Park still hosts smaller weekend programming, but the connective tissue between them is finally short enough that a resident can plan around a rhythm instead of a route.
